Marilyn Jane Mason, 71, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Hermitage Health Center. She was born March 14, 1952 in Paoli, Ind., to the late George and Ida Jane Emmons Denton. She had lived in Tennessee for the past 40 years.
Marilyn was a homemaker. She was a member of Heartland Fellowship.
Survivors include her children, Christy (Johnny) Glass, Kathy Odom and Jimmy (Tammy) Moffatt; eight grandchildren, Deanna (Michael) Mattingly, Josh (Kaitlyn) Mattingly, Jeremy (Sonja) Mattingly, Johnny Glass Jr., Karissa (Mickey) Lash, Tiffany (Paul) Moffatt, Kayla Moffatt and Gary Murphy; 10 great-grandchildren, Isaiah Linberg, Hailey Linberg, James Folkner, Lillie Lash, Keon Glass, Paisley Mattingly, Paxton Mattingly, Kobe Mattingly, Michael Malone and Donnley Malone; and a special friend, Betty Montgomery.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Marvin Slagle officiating. Interment will follow in the Scalf Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Isaiah Linberg, Jimmy Moffatt, Michael Malone, Johnny Glass, Johnny Glass Jr., Shaun Farsworth and Eddie Peters. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Amedisys Hospice and the staff at Hermitage Health Center.
