Wilma June Hill Oliver, 81, Elizabethton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 18, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center with her son by her side.
A native of Hampton, she was a daughter of the late Monte and Kathryn Ingram Hill.
June was a 1959 graduate of Hampton High School. She married her High School Sweetheart, Frank Oliver, and they made their residence in Maryland. After making a home and working for 40 plus years, she retired and moved back to Tennessee.
June was a hard worker. She took care of and helped take care of so many family members when they couldn’t take care of themselves. She was always concerned about others, never herself. She was kind and giving and loved her family unconditionally. Her faith and belief were with her always. She enjoyed reading the Bible, word searches and working in her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Frank, and a sister, Shirley Jean Hill Pearson.
June leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Montie Oliver Lowe; a son, Frank Oliver Jr. and wife Allison; grandchildren, Zackery (April) Lowe, Cody (Erin) Lowe, Taylor, Jake and Peyton Oliver; great-grandchildren, Harlee, Tysen, Decklan and Brooklyn Lowe; sister, Barbara Hill (Jim) Kimbrel; brother-in-law, Charles Pearson; sister-in-law, Betty Oliver (Don) Pritchard; a special great-nephew, Jameson Kimbrel; her beloved cat “Annie”; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A service to celebrate the life of June will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harvey White officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Oliver family.
