Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The definition of strength is the capacity of an object or substance to withstand great force or pressure. This world is a tough place, and it seems with each passing day that things get more difficult. The pressure gets greater, and it is easy to find yourself cracking under the day-to-day stress. The Bible says in Isaiah 41:10, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Although the world is overwhelming, Jesus has already conquered it. He tells us to be of good cheer. Since He has experienced this world first hand, He will lead us through all we face.
Imagine having to find your way out of a jungle all alone. Every way seems to lead to more trouble. You are not sure which direction to go and nightfall is quickly approaching. Then you find a guide who knows the way out safely. Would you follow him? This is exactly what happens when we choose to follow Jesus. He will not leave or nor forsake us. We can find solace that He is always with us. Allow Him to lead and guide you into safety. He knows exactly what we need and when we need it. When we find ourselves in an uncomfortable, strange, and challenging situation, we must choose to seek the Lord. He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Deuteronomy 20:4 proclaims, “For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.” I know I would be frightened in a jungle all alone, and death would surely be imminent, however if a mighty warrior was by my side, I would be comforted and survive. I can’t imagine trying to navigate this world all alone. I am grateful the mighty warrior and captain of the angel armies is by my side. He is my provider, protector, and peace. I find strength in my time of weakness in knowing He is always fighting for me. I am never alone!
No matter how strong I am, it is never enough. The flesh is weak. I need the supernatural strength of the Lord to see me through. The Spirit of God that indwells within us is powerful, and is made perfect in my weakness. It is OK for me to not be OK. I do not have to succeed on my own. If you find yourself struggling and burdened down, I challenge you to stop at this moment and call upon the name of Jesus. You will find great strength in the Lord. I will close with what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:10, “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
