T.A. Dugger 5k to take place Friday

The Elizabethton Police Department wishes to inform motorists and residents of the T.A. Dugger Junior High School Touchdown Club’s 5K run, benefiting the T.A. Dugger Football Team, Friday, July 28, beginning at 8 PM.  Elizabethton Police officers will be diverting through traffic from the streets surrounding T. A. Dugger Jr. High School from 7:55 PM until 9:00 PM.  The race will start and end at the T.A. Dugger Football Field/Track and participants will utilize a pre-measured course consisting of Holly Lane, Washington Avenue, McArthur Street, West F Street, West E Street, and North Roan Street.   The police department asks residents in the affected area to expect extra traffic, be patient, and use caution while driving during the race.  Race participants should also use caution and watch for vehicles emerging from driveways and intersections.
