GRAY—The Cyclones stormed into Ken Green Field behind the rain and didn’t slip a bit, defeating the Daniel Boone 49-0 at on Friday night.

“It was a good start overall, there was a lot of questions makes about our defense only returning one guy on the front seven,” Elizabethton head coach Shawn Witten said.

The inexperience didn’t show as the Cyclones pitched a shutout while only allowing 53 yards in the first half. While the defense was a question mark coming into the season, the most well known thing about Elizabethton is its run game.
