Cunningham, listed among the Knoxville PrepXtra Players to Watch, has been a solid four-year contributor to the success of the Maryville High golf team. This past year she helped lead the Rebels to outstanding finishes at the Blount County Tournament (1 of 4), the Keith Maxwell Invitational (2 of 11) and the Knoxville News Sentinel Prep Masters (3 of 6). Maryville barely missed the state tourney in 2014 with a runner-up finish in the Region 2-AAA Tourney.

Cunningham has been very active in junior golf throughout East Tennessee, participating in numerous Tennessee Golf Association Masters tournaments.

“We are happy to have Haley join us at Milligan,” remarked Wallingford. “Haley is a terrific person and student, and has shown steady and solid improvement as a golfer. I look forward to having her with us and am confident she will make a positive contribution to Milligan and our golf program,” concluded Wallingford.

Cunningham joins a Milligan women’s team that recently finished the fall season ranked No. 1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference and No. 24 nationally by Golfstat.

Cunningham, an outstanding student, was a Golf Coaches Association of Tennessee High School Scholar Athlete Award recipient in 2013-14. Cunningham has a 4.02 GPA and plans to major in pre-occupational therapy at Milligan. She is the daughter of Roger and Jennifer Cunningham of Maryville, Tennessee.
