A Tele-Town Hall conference set to take place today has been canceled.

The conference call for constituents originally was scheduled by U.S. Rep. Phil Roe as a means of updating voters in East Tennessee on what was going on in the capital.

Roe spokeswoman Tiffany Haverly sent out a message Monday morning saying the event had been canceled.

No further information was available on Monday as to why the event was canceled and no reschedule date has been released at this time.

When the event is rescheduled, the Elizabethton Star will announce the new date and time along with the telephone number to call to join in on the Tele-Town Hall conference call.
