An unidentified man was taken to a local hospital with injuries after a Jeep struck him while riding a motorcycle along Bemberg Road Thursday morning.
The man flipped over the hood of the Jeep and landed in the road, according to Elizabethton Police Department Patrolman Robert Bradshaw.
“He was complaining of pain all over,” Bradshaw said. “It was mainly upper back and neck pain. He was wearing a full-faced helmet, which probably helped him a lot.”
The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Bemberg Road when the driver of the Jeep struck him, Bradshaw said.
“He did not see the motorcycle and pulled out in front of him,” Bradshaw said. “This is what happens with about 99 percent of motorcycle accidents.”
On scene, police did not release the names of the drivers involved in the crash.
