Lady Warriors 52, Lady Highlanders 41

Happy Valley’s Kalee Johnson led the way with a double-double as the Lady Warriors sprinted past the Lady Highlanders Monday night in Roan Mountain.

Johnson posted 15 points, while pulling down 11 boards, during Happy Valley’s 52-41 win.

A strong effort from freshmen Bayley McGee and Adrienne Henegar, who had nine and eight points, respectively, also helped Happy Valley to its win. Kaitlyn Roberts finished with eight points, while Kenzie Davis finished things out with four.

On Cloudland’s side of the ball, Payton Johnson and Trinity Vines both posted 12 points each, while Johanna Johnson recorded nine, and Shian Strickland picked up six.

The Lady Warriors will be back on the court next Monday as they head over to University High. The Lady ‘Landers will play tonight as they host Avery County.

Warriors 65, Highlanders 53

A 20-point game from Austin Hicks spearheaded the Warriors to a 65-53 win over CloudlandMonday.

Hicks was not the only Warrior to post double digits. Chris Young, Josh Hammonds and Tyler Torbett all recorded 11 points, while Nathan Kyte picked up six.

The Highlanders were led by a 24-point game from Preston Benfield. Jesse Potter closed out things with 12 points of his own.

Happy Valley will be back on the court next Monday as they travel over to University High. The ‘Landers will host Avery tonight.
