It will be a busy today and Saturday for Elizabethon and Happy Valley as they will be two of the many teams from across the south to compete in the Tri-Cities Track Classic at Science Hill.

“This is a huge meet,” Elizabethon head coach Aaron Wood said. “It is bringing in phenomenal competition. It will be exciting to see how the kids respond to the such a different level of competition then what they are use to.”

The tournament, in its second year of existence, will welcome 50 teams coming from eight states — including Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
