Oak Street Baptist Church in Elizabethton will host an American Red Cross blood drive on Monday, May 12.
The drive, one of several scheduled in the region over the coming days, will run from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the church, located at 804 Oak Street.
The American Red Cross collects and processes approximately 40 percent of the nation’s blood supply.
Most healthy people age 17 and older, or 16 with parental consent, who weigh at least 110 pounds, are eligible to donate blood. Donors must have a form of positive identification in order to donate.
