Tanasi Gallery offers workshop to create gift for Mother’s Day

Unicoi’s Tanasi Gallery will offer sons and daughters a last-minute chance to create a special Mother’s Day gift Saturday when it hosts a creative workshop Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m..
The Tanasi Gallery is at the Unicoi Information and Visitors Center,
Unicoi County High School’s Gail Clark, who teaches family and consumer sciences/culinary arts, will present the special Mother’s Day Workshop for children and mothers to create a handmade gift for Mom.
The child-friendly project will guide workshop attendees through designing a small pillow using hand stitches known as cross stitch and back stitch.
All materials will be available on Saturday, and there will be plenty of assistance to complete the project to take home.
The cost is $3. The Unicoi Information and Visitors Center is at 106 Unicoi Village Place, at Interstate 26’s Exit 32 in Unicoi.
Call the Tanasi Gallery at 735-0217 to preregister by Friday.
