Mrs. Helen Marie Robinson Cox, 67, Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in Johnson City Medical Center.
Helen was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late John J. Robinson Sr. and Helen Mae Myers Robinson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Daniel Lee Cox; two sisters, Linda Woodby and Ann Crain; and one brother, John Robinson Jr.
Helen was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: one son, Dan Lee Cox Jr. and his wife Wendy, of Johnson City; two brothers, Claude Robinson and his wife Cindy, of Elizabethton, and Paul Nuckles, of Kingsport; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family of Mrs. Helen Cox will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, in Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Jim Chatman and the Rev. Gary Hodges will officiate. The committal service will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 9:15 am Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery for those services. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
