Kathy McIntruff

Kathy McInturff, age 59, of 104 Wilson Avenue, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Tempie Morton Bowling. She was a homemaker and of the Free Will Baptist faith. Kathy loved to travel and spend time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard McInturff of the home; three sons, Brad McInturff, Chad McInturff and Derrick McInturff, all of Elizabethton; one granddaughter of the home, Chasity McInturff; three other grandchildren, Kiley McInturff and Kinsley McInturff, both of Elizabethton and Xavier McInturff of Hampton; three sisters, Wanda Birchfield, Phyllis Jerrett and husband, Doyle, and Freida Bowling, all of Elizabethton; four brothers, Charles Bowling and wife, Mable, Maryland; Robert “Bobby” Bowling and wife, Joyce, Elizabethton; Terry Bowling and wife, Cindy, Unicoi; Dean Bowling and wife, Judy, Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Danny Blevins officiating.
The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service Monday at Lyons Cemetery on Dry Branch Road. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Kathy’s friends and Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Friends may call at the residence, 104 Wilson Avenue, Elizabethton, at anytime.
