Stanley Malecki, Jr. age 85, of Clark Lake, MI, born April 16, 1929, passed away Tuesday April 22, 2014, while in Sarasota, FL, with his wife by his side.
Stanley was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He was a very gentle and unassuming man and being a Christian was of great importance to him. He lived his life as if today would be the day that our Lord would come back to take him home. Mr. Malecki attended Clarke Lake Community Baptist Church in MI and First Baptist Church of Osprey while in Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lenore Lesnau.
Survivors include his wife, Darlena Gregg Malecki; a son, Ken Malecki and wife Jamie; a daughter, Pam Gilbert and husband, Tom; a grandson, Dustin Gilbert and wife, Nicole; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Grace Gilbert; a brother, Ron Malecki; and brother-in-law, Doyle Gregg and wife, Doris.
A memorial service will be conducted at Sugar Grove Baptist Church, Butler, TN, Saturday May 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ray Greene and the Rev. Alan Koch will conduct the service. Burial will follow the service in the Sugar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sugar Grove Baptist Church, 925 Sugar Grove Church Road, Butler, TN 37640. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family at mfc@chartertn.net.
Memorial Funeral Chapel, Elizabethton, is in charge of the arrangements.
