Elizabethton grads ‘all great Cyclones’

Elizabethton High School will host its commencement ceremony for the Class of 2014 at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 17, in the school’s gymnasium.
EHS Principal David Wright expressed pride in the EHS Class of 2014.
“This class has accomplished much during their four years of high school,” Wright said. “They have been great representatives of our school and community. It has been a privilege to serve as their principal. I wish them tremendous success in all of their future endeavors. They are all great Cyclones.”
A total of 204 seniors will be graduating from EHS.
Of the graduating seniors, 17 students will be recognizing for having a 4.0 grade point average: Logan Archer, Brandon Bailey, Caleb Bailey, Harley Blevins, Benjamin Carr, Eric Carter, Elizabeth Cochran, Sydney Elliott, Hannah Hulshult, Shannon Hyder, Alyssa Irmeger, Miranda Isaacs, Lydia Johnson, Amanda Largent, John Paul Mitra, Joshua Storie and Shalom Swanson.
These students are also the Top 10 Percent of the graduating class.
Senior class officers for the 2014 EHS class are Hannah Hulshult, president; Eric Carter, vice-president; Mandy Largent, secretary and Catherine LaPorte, treasurer.
Speakers during the graduation ceremony will consist of members of the graduating class. Shalom Swanson will conduct the senior meditation. Hannah Hulshult and Caleb Bailey, student council president, will offer the senior remarks. A musical presentation will be made by John Paul Mitra and Shannon Hyder, members of the 2013 All-East Chorus.
