Nancy Louise Carrico, 73, 139 Don Wilson Lane, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Beatrice Morris Carrico.
Ms. Carrico retired from Leon-Ferenbach Company. She was a member of Fellowship Community Church and a member of the Elizabethton Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Carrico Jr., Gerge Carrico and Lester Carrico; and five sisters, Katrina Jaynes, Henrietta Eggers, Lois Grindstaff, Frenchie Russell and Katherine Carrico.
Survivors include her son, Mark Carrico, Elizabethton; three brothers, Preston Carrico, Alan Carrico and Howell Carrico, all of Elizabethton; two sisters, Monice Lunceford and Annie Lue Guinn, both of Elizabethton; special niece, Jenny White, Johnson City; special nephew, Terry Guinn, Elizabethton; and special great-nephews, Coty and Stone White. Several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and special friends, Coleman Brown and Billie Jean Powell, also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Nancy Louise Carrico will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Rick Sweeney officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the funeral service on Saturday in the Carrico Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mid South Chapter, 207 N.
