Mary Hoffman Reed, 90, of Elizabethton, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at her home following a brief illness.
She was a daughter of the late Corda and Katherine Dailey Hoffman and was born in Orchard, Idaho. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reed, and a daughter, Janet Taylor.
Mrs. Reed moved to Elizabethton in 1979. Previously she lived in Anchorage, Alaska, where she was a manager employed by the Bureau of Land Management. She was a member of the Elizabethton Senior Citizens and East River Park Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Heck, Wis., and Robie Bray and her husband, Gerry, Elizabethton, and 10 grandchildren, Dwayne, Krissy and Darrell Taylor, Kathy Harold, Kathy Hertlinger, Gene Watson, Ellen and Dawn Heck, Hon Bray and Susie Blackburn. Several great-grandchildren also survive.
