Bobby Joe Robbins

Bobby Joe Robbins, 76, of Elizabethton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, June 9, 2014, at his residence.
A native of Johnson County (Shady Valley Community), he was a son of the late George and Fannie Ray Landore Robbins.
Mr. Robbins was a graduate of Johnson County High School. After graduation he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Building Contractor and Mason. He had lived in Florida for several years before returning to Elizabethton.
Bobby was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church, Orange Park, Fla. In Elizabethton, he attended Sims Hill Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Moretz Robbins, July 10, 2004.
Survivors include four children, Robin Malinky and husband Bob, Renee Massey and Richard Robbins and wife Cathy, all of Orange Park, Fla., and Robert Robbins and wife Pamela, Elizabethton; five grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia Lee Roten and husband Fred, Johnson City, and Jean Byrd and husband Joe, Tampa, Fla.; and two brothers, Scotty Robbins and wife Barbara, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Gary Robbins and wife Audra, Orange Park, Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
It was his wish to be cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. Condolences to the Robbins family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
