Shirley Buckles Younce of Buckeye, Ariz. (formerly of Elizabethton), was born March 21, 1917 in Elizabethton, Tenn., and passed away at 97 years of age on June 8, 2014, in Buckeye, Ariz. She was preceded in death by husband Grant in December 2008 and siblings Clyde, Ross and Flo Buckles and Cora Wolfe.
She is survived by daughter Beverly and husband Larry Lauchner of Fresno, Calif.; son Max Younce and wife Karren of Stanfield, Ariz.; sister Reta Buckles of Stoney Creek, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at Buckles Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Buckles officiating. Everyone is welcome to meet the family at Tetrick Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
