Frankie E. Roberts Hubbard, 67, of Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center, after a brief battle with cancer.
Frankie graduated from Happy Valley High School, Class of 1963.
Ms. Hubbard retired as a teacher’s aide for the Carter County School System. She worked many years at Tri-Cities Flea Market and Valley Forge Auction. She was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed bingo, vacations and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larn Ray Roberts, husband, Alfred Hubbard, and nephew, Cody Roberts.
Survivors include her mother, Myrtle Roberts, daughter, Karen Conner and husband Rick, son, Jeffery Hubbard, brother, Carl Roberts and wife Linda, all of Elizabethton; granddaughters, Kandi and Brandi Hubbard of North Carolina and Kayla Whaley and friend Wesley Yelton of Elizabethton; great-grandchildren, Dalton Beam and Kennedy Hubbard of North Carolina; nephews, Mark Roberts and wife Karen of Bluff City and C.J. Roberts and wife Daphanie of Elizabethton; great-nephews, Luke and Jasper Roberts of Elizabethton; brothers-in-law, Jerry Hubbard and wife Denise of Nevada and Ricky Hubbard and wife Christy of Elizabethton; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Hyder and husband Ralph of Elizabethton, Brenda Poteat and husband Tootie of North Carolina and Shelby Cranford of North Carolina; special friends, Elizabeth Patrick and Trula Walker, both of Elizabethton; and special friend and caretaker, Kathy Stevens.

Funeral services for Ms. Hubbard will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Alan King officiating. Music will be provided by C.J. Roberts and Shon Blevins. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, in the Lyons Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Arnold Hensley officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, will be Wesley Yelton, C.J. Roberts, Mark Roberts, Luke Roberts, Steve Hargett, Bill Lyons, Ronnie Benfield and Charlie Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Roberts, Jerry Hargett, Bobby Babb, Steve Babb, Mike “Nookie” Babb, Dale Blevins and Dillard Shell. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit the family anytime at the home, 1304 Dry Creek Road, Elizabethton.
