Doreen Esther Petroskey, 71, 345 Garrison Hollow Road, Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014, at her residence.
A native of New Haven, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Miller Petroskey.
Ms. Petroskey retired as a dietary aide. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include two sisters, Denise Kendall, of the home, and Diane Prunier, Woodbridge, Conn., and six brothers, Walter Petroskey, Hamden, Conn., William Petroskey, Pittsfield, Maine, Wayne Petroskey of Connecticut, Ward Allen Petroskey of Pennsylvania, Wade Petroskey and Warren Petroskey, both of Connecticut. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Petroskey will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Brother Steve Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the funeral service, or at the residence at anytime. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
