JOHNSON CITY — A change of scenery provided the same result as the Elizabethton Twins defeated the Cardinals 9-3 at Thomas Stadium on Tuesday night, giving them a half-game lead over Johnson City in the West Division of the Appalachin League.
“It wasn’t a work of art, it wasn’t a Picasso, it was more like a Dr. Seuss painting,” Elizabethton Twins manager Ray Smith said. “But one thing it was entertaining for what the fans showed up on for this rainy night. One thing is that you are never comfortable facing these guys because they are a bunch of hackers out there and they can hit.”
