Gary W. Buck, 65, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014, following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Foy and Edith Lewis Buck.
Gary was an over the road truck driver. He was of the Christian Faith, but attended the Baptist Church. Gary never met a stranger and enjoyed laughs with so many people. He loved bass fishing and hunting for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Buck, and his in-laws, Bill and Betty Roten.
Gary was the loving husband of Martha Roten Buck for 34 wonderful years. He was the father of Joshua William Buck (girlfriend, Tia Filhiol), and Tina Cunningham (husband, Warren Cunningham). He was the grandfather of Kiana Buck with her wonderful mother, Melanie Harrell. In addition to those individuals, he is also survived by Tim Buck and Cindy Buck, Teresa Buck, Brenda and Buddy Crowe, Carroll and Doris Buck, Eugene and Mary Evelyn Buck and Bob and Jeanette Buck, and his sister-in-law and her husband, Janet and Pat Beahm; and so many special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Buck will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Todd Wolfe and Rev. Doug Hartley officiating. Music will be provided by Kim Pierce. The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the visits, love and prayers of so many people.
