Good start directs Twins to 5-3 conquest of Greeneville

Scoring first was been a habit for the Elizabethton Twins this season and Thursday the Appalachian League West Division leaders did it again en route to a 5-3 win over the Greeneville Astros.

The Twins used a busy first inning to take that early lead. Elizabethton got a lead-off single from Jeremias Pineda back up the middle, and he stole second before a wild pitch got him to third. That stolen base was his 18th of the season, which put him in a tie for first in the league.
