Elizabethton Golf Course hosted a slew of Carter County schools as Elizabethton, Happy Valley, Hampton and Unaka played host to Unicoi County on Wednesday afternoon.

Happy Valley’s boys won the team side of things by shooting a 174, besting ’Betsy by two strokes. Hampton finished in third with a 185, followed by Unicoi County with a 190.

The Cyclones ladies won the team and singles sides as seniors Madison Campbell and Jamie Hinkle each shot a 44.

“The girls are really good this year, they are going to have a great year,” Elizabethton head coach Kenny Hardin said. “They’ve got two senior girls that have been here all four years and they have practiced hard. I am really proud of those girls.”
