Gouge-Collins Family

The descendants of Ruby and Addie Birchfield Gouge and Emmert and Bettie Gouge Collins will hold their annual reunion on Saturday, Aug. 16, at Little Doe Freewill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

USS Long Beach CGN-9 Association

The USS Long Beach CGN-9 Association, Inc. 2014 Reunion will be held in St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 8-14, at the Hilton St. Louis Airport, 10330 Natural Bridge Road, St. Louis, Mo.

Knight Cemetery 

Decoration

The Knight Cemetery Decoration will be held Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Knight Cemetery on Hampton Creek Road in Roan Mountain.

The decoration service will follow a covered dish meal at 1 p.m. at Gray’s Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, which is also located on Hampton Creek Road.

Those attending are asked to bring covered dishes, drinks and desserts to share, enough for their family and others.
