Firefighters battled a blaze Thursday afternoon that destroyed a home on Bishop Hollow Road. One person at the scene was treated for smoke inhalation by members of the Carter County Rescue Squad. Members of the Stoney Creek, Watauga and Hampton Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the call, along with the Carter County Sheriff’s Department.
