The Hampton High School Bulldogs dropped their game against the Oneida, losing 14-8 on Friday night at J.C. Campbell Stadium.
A big Indians return and a few penalties at crucial times would chain the ‘Dogs back from a win.
A succession of five penalties in the second quarter would put a hamper on one of Hampton’s chances to score. One of the penalties, which was an off-sides against the ‘Dogs (1-1), brought back a touchdown pass by Coby Jones. The touchdown would have brought the game to 7-6.
