It was a battle of the run games at Orr Field on Friday night. At the end of the night, it was Cloudland as the last man standing.
The ‘Landers (2-0) used a strong second half and rushing attack to pull away and take a 46-14 victory over Happy Valley (0-2) in Roan Mountain.
“Give credit to our defense,” Cloudland head coach Brock Pittman said. “Coach (John) Julian and the defense stepped up and made some adjustments and we were able to stop them. They have a tough running game. Offensively, we kept doing what we do and getting better and better.”
