Carter County’s Jr. Bulldogs brought the excitement for their homecoming night.

Hampton went the distance and then some but could not keep up the momentum. The ’Dogs fell 14-6 in overtime to Chuckey-Doak on a rainy Thursday night at J.C. Campbell Stadium.

“They played real hard tonight,” Hampton head coach Daniel Arnett said. “I’m proud of our boys and the way they came out tonight. Their inexperience may of put a damper on things, but we’ll get better. I’m tickled to death for them; this is a moral victory for us.”
