Got talent?
If so, Northeast State Community College has an opportunity for you or your group to showcase your talent while raising money for a scholarship program.
Northeast State’s “Got Talent” will be held in October, but auditions for the event are next week.
Preliminary auditions will be Sept. 15, 16 and 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Wellmont Regional Center for the Performing Arts at the main campus in Blountville.
A non-refundable registration fee of $10 is required for individuals and $25 for groups. The show welcomes entrants from the community as well as Northeast State’s faculty, staff and students.
The event is sponsored by the Music and Choral Program and is part of the college’s annual Because of You Campaign to raise scholarship funds.
Audition winners will advance to the finals which will be held Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. in the WRCPA.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three winners. First place will receive $150, second will receive $75, and third place will take home $50.
Admission to the show is $2 for students and $8 for non-students. All proceeds benefit the Music and Choral Program’s Performing Arts Annual Scholarship.
