Lady Cyclones show how far they’ve come in loss at East

The upset of the ages on Tuesday night at the Patriot Palace set up another epic match on Thursday involving those same Sullivan East Lady Patriots and an Elizabethton team that has announced its arrival to the elite of the Three Rivers Conference Volleyball scene.
It ended up being a 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 22-25, 15-13 Sullivan East five-set win, but Elizabethton in no way felt like it lost the match. The Lady Cyclones held their heads up high as they made their way back to E-town.
Sullivan East looked like at the beginning of this year it was in a rebuilding mode, but after a slow start that included an upset loss to Sullivan North in conference play and a loss to the Lady Cyclones in a Saturday tournament in Chattanooga, East came into the match playing extremely well.
