The Elizabethton Lady Cyclone volleyball team is getting closer and closer to stopping the Sullivan South machine, but a few points at key times were the difference for the Lady Rebels.

Defending Class A/AA state champion Sullivan South was tested like maybe never before by the Lady Cyclones, but in the end it was South finishing off EHS 25-20, 25-14, 25-23 in a much-tighter-than-the-score-would-indicate contest.

For about 35 points of the first set, Elizabethton went toe-to-toe with Lady Rebels, playing sensational defense that led to what looked like could be a watershed set one win.
