Elizabeth “Betty” Myers

Elizabeth “Betty” Myers, 76, of the Sulphur Springs Community, Jonesborough, went home to be with her Lord unexpectedly, on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Myers was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William E. and Hazel Pippin Hamm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Edward Myers, on June 21, 2006, and a daughter-in-law, Sharilee Ann Myers.
Mrs. Myers was a current employee of Food City in Gray, Tenn. She attended Second Baptist Church in Jonesborough and loved to play games.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Myers and wife Karen, Waldorf, Md., Randy Myers and wife Donna, Sewell, N.J., Michael Myers and Ronnie Myers, both of Bristol, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Jessica Myers, Bristol, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Kenneth Myers Jr. and wife Jami, Shayna Weichman and husband Richard of New Jersey, Christopher Myers and wife Cara, Joseph Myers, Jani Lee Myers, Dominique Myers, Damien Myers, Darren Myers and Dillan Myers; and great-grandchildren, Kenli Myers, Kameron Myers, Joel Myers and Nicholas Anthony Weichman.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Myers will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 11, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 10, in the funeral home chapel. The graveside service will follow in the Highland Cemetery in Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be Joey Myers, Kenny Myers Jr., Christopher Myers, Damien Myers, Darren Myers, Stacey Newton, Scott Newton and Frank Barnes.
