The number 48 served as T.A. Dugger’s lucky digits Tuesday night inside Happy Valley Middle School.

Both the Jr. Cyclone boys and girls scored 48 points as they swept their doubleheader against the Jr. Warriors.

The Lady Jr. Cyclones scored at will in the first half of their matchup — outscoring Happy Valley 29-3 before the teams went to the locker rooms for intermission.

After gaining an early lead, the Jr. Cyclones stayed out in front of the Jr. Warriors the rest of the way in boys action.

“Whenever you are in someone else’s gym and you get that lead, it helps your confidence a whole lot,” said TAD head coach Barry Johnson after his team’s 48-16 triumph. “We knew Happy Valley was going to be tough. We knew that they were going to be physical. And we knew that we would have to come out here and be strong.”
