The Hampton Bulldogs were able to go on the road and topple the Harriman Blue Devils 84-66 on Monday night at the Harriman Classic.
The Bulldogs (10-4) were lead by Stanley Valentine who tallied 27 points and filled the stat sheet with nine rebounds and six assists.
Coby Jones finished with 16 points, while Cheyenne Camillo totaled 11 points for the Dogs.
The Bulldogs and the Blue Devils (12-3) found themselves in a track meet during the first half but Hampton was on the winning side, as the Dogs outscored the Devils 29-16 in the first quarter.
Things would only speed up in the second period but again the Dogs would lay claim, taking a 50-41 lead into the locker room.
Both teams seemed to cool off in the second half as Hampton would only outscore the home team 34-25, but it was enough for them grab the victory.
With the win Hampton will play Telico Plans at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
