Edward K. Harmon

Edward K. Harmon, 58, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Spencer D. and Nina Smith Harmon.
Edward was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. He was retired due to disability from Thomasville Furniture, Johnson City. He was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church. His hobbies were gardening, flowers and he loved hunting ginseng.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Marlene Malone Harmon; his children, Amber Harmon and Stacy Woods; his grandchildren, Destiny Nichols, Haley Nichles, Brandon Nichles, Keith Nichles, Andrew Gunn and Lotory Gunn; his sister, Ellen Sheets; his brother, Earl Harmon; a great-niece, Lexi Moretz; and his special friends, Emily and Sarah Williams and Charles Fragel.
Memorial services for Edward K. Harmon will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 29, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Chase officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital and the staff of ICU at Johnson City Medical Center.
