Beverly Banks, 57, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 20, 2015, at her residence. Beverly was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Raymond Shell Sr. and Anna Lee Hubbard Shell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Codi Linn Crumley.
Mrs. Banks was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Brewer and husband Mark, Hampton; a sister, Patty Shell, Elizabethton; three brothers, Ricky Hubbard, Raymond Shell Jr. and Jimmy Shell, all of Elizabethton; a half brother, Calvin Shell, Lenoir, N.C.; and her step-mother, Geraldine Shell, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service to honor the life of Beverly Banks will be conducted by her family at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Centerview Church of Christ with Mr. Tony Hoss, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. A private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Highland Cemetery. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the family.
