Kyle D. Humphreys, 81, of Limestone, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Humphreys was born in Washington County, Tenn., and was the son of the late Lola Clay and Jessie Henley Humphreys. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Taylor Humphreys; a son, Ricky Lynn Humphreys; his second wife, Helen Vick Blankenship Humphreys; and a brother, Richard C. Humphreys.
Mr. Humphreys was a member and Deacon Emeritus of New Salem Baptist Church.
Mr. Humphreys was past Chairman of the Washington County Election Commission and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Washington County Farmer’s Cooperative and the Washington County Farm Service Agency Committee.
Survivors include his son, Randy K. Humphreys, and wife, Joy Baldwin Humphreys, Johnson City; daughter, Angela K. Humphreys, and husband, Joseph A. Cashia, Franklin, Tenn.; sisters, Shirley Holtsinger and Janice Hodges, both of Morristown; and grandchildren, Matthew Cashia, Gina Cashia and Vincent Cashia; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 22, at 7:30 p.m. at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., prior to the service. Interment services will be conducted Saturday, May 23, at 10 a.m. in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the Deacons of New Salem Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be S.G. Hensley, Rhea Snapp, David Holley, Bob DeVotie, George Jaynes and Carroll Foster.
