From staff reports
Elizabethton High School senior running back Caleb Jones suffered a season-ending injury during a jet skiing accident on Watauga Lake Saturday.
Jones will be out for four to six month due to torn ligaments in his right leg, the senior said.
Despite the injury, the powerback will still be on the sideline supporting the Cyclones, Jones said.
Jones’ fellow fellow running back Jeremiah Turner feels that things will be hard for the team, but they will be able to prevail during the 2015 season.
“The team is down about it,” Turner said. “He [Jones] keeps on pushing us to go on. He is going to be on the sidelines, keeping us in the game. He is one of our most powerful backs that we have lost.
It is a tough lost, but we are going to have to keep playing hard,” Turner added.
