Hen House Heist

Carter County Deputy Mark McClain is investigating the whereabouts of Harvey, Petunia, Yum-Yum, Baby and Ju-Ju Be.
Among the missing are five adult bantam chickens — all named — as well as one baby chick, yet to be named.
The chickens are owned by Debbie Collins, 143 Hidden Oaks Drive, Johnson City, who reported the theft to law enforcement on Wednesday morning.
Collins told the McClain that she believes the chickens had been stolen from their coop sometime between the hours of midnight and 6:30 a.m.
She also told the officer she did not think it was possible that an animal was responsible for the chickens’ disappearance, as they were secured behind a gate that an animal could not have breached.
