Freshman Sarah Robinson led the Lady Buffaloes with 18 points and seven rebounds. She was followed up Allison Jones, who recorded 14 points, while Morgan Gose picked up 11.

Robinson, who was 7 of 13 in field goals and 4 of 4 from the foul line, now has 139 points on the season, giving her a 12 points per game average.

The Lady Buffaloes came out strong. Morgan Gose sank a three pointer with seconds left in the first to give Milligan a 20-10 lead heading into the second quarter.

With 3:05 left in the first half, the Lady Eagles got within eight points of the Lady Buffaloes, before Robinson nailed a jumper inside the paint to extend Milligan’s lead out to 30-20. Down the second-quarter stretch, Milligan’s Andi Lamb hit a jumper to give the Lady Buffs a 32-22 lead, before Reinhardt hit two free throws to send the teams to the locker room with Milligan leading 32-24.

In the early stages of the third quarter, the Lady Buffaloes conducted a 9-2 run over the Lady Eagles to jump out to a 41-26 lead with 7:20 left in the third period. Robinson closed out the third with a jumper to give Milligan a 53-38 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Gose opened up the fourth with back-to-back treys to give the Lady Buffs a 56-38 lead early in the final quarter. However, the Lady Eagles were able to climb out of their 21-point deficit, and with a three-pointer from Lauren Mullinax found themselves within five point of the Lady Buffaloes with just 36 second left to play. However, two trips to the foul line by the Lady Buffs would seal the deal for Milligan as both Robinson and Lindsee Price hit both of their foul shots.

Next up for the Lady Buffaloes will be a home game against Montreat College on Dec. 5.
