Credit Union seeks to help ARM through online contest

Northeast Community Credit Union is working to “spread the love” and is calling on the public to help make it happen.
NCCU is a part of the Share the Love campaign from Love My Credit Union. Through the campaign, NCCU could possibly win $10,000 in December to give to Assistance Resource Ministries, along with an additional $15,000 grant as the grand prize winner for collecting the most votes in the contest. “Assistance Resource Ministry does so much for people,” NCCU CEO and President Kathy Campbell said. “They provide monthly food boxes, and emergency food supplies, clothing and many other forms of assistance to those in need. Think of how much $25,000 could do in the community.”
The Share the Love Campaign gives credit unions the chance to share a short video showing what they do in their communities to “Share the Love.” Visitors to the Share the Love website vote for their favorite video and the one with the most votes is the winner for that month. The credit union with the most votes over the three month period from the monthly winners is selected as grand prize winner.
“It is so easy to vote and it only takes a second,” Campbell said. “We can work together to make a difference.”
Currently Northeast Community Credit Union is in 5th place to win the grand prize of $15,000 and in 1st place to win the monthly prize of $10,000. However, to win the December prize of $10,000 they still need many more people to register and vote daily.
To vote for NCCU, visit www.lovemycreditunion.org/sharethelove and search by state to find NCCU. Voters can also go to NCCU’s website and follow the link to vote. To vote, click on the red vote button under NCCU’s video and fill out the registration form. After registering, a voting code will be emailed to users that is needed to vote each day. Voting is allowed once per day until Dec. 24.
