JOHNSON CITY – Individuals seeking help with the Affordable Care Act’s open enrollment process can receive assistance through East Tennessee State University’s Johnson City Community Health Center (JCCHC).
The JCCHC has certified application counselors on staff who can provide free assistance. Appointments are available throughout the week, including lunch and evening appointments. Spanish-speaking interpreters are also available.
Important dates to remember:
• Jan. 15, 2016 – Last day to enroll in or change plans for new coverage to start Feb. 1, 2016
• Enrollments or changes made between Jan. 16-31, 2016, take effect March 1, 2016.
• Jan. 31, 2016 – End of open enrollment.
Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis. To schedule an appointment, call 423-926-2500. The JCCHC is located at 2151 Century Lane, just off State of Franklin Road behind Woodridge Hospital. It serves the uninsured, underinsured and insured.
