The Elizabethton Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify this woman, who investigators say was seen on security camera using a fraudulent credit card.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an on-going investigation in a case involving credit card fraud.
On Dec. 23, 2015, a credit card was used at a city business that was programed with the victim’s banking information, said EPD Capt. Joy Shoun.
“The victim had not lost possession of the credit card, and it is believed that the banking information of the victim was illegally obtained by someone during the course of a standard transaction,” Shoun said. “We are aware that other fraudulent charges were made on the victim’s account in Johnson City as well.”
Information provided to investigators indicates that the female suspect was also attempting to use other types of credit cards during the transaction at the Elizabethton business.
“It is probable that this suspect may be in possession of, or has fraudulently used other credit cards,” Shoun said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at (423) 547-6225 or messages can be left on the EPD Crime Stoppers Tips Line at (423 )542-7574.
