Brickey slams Lady Cyclones past Unicoi, 11-0

The Elizabethton Lady Cyclones headed over to Erwin to face off with the Unicoi County Lady Blue Devils for some Three Rivers Conference softball Thursday.

Once the dust settled, the Lady Cyclones walked off the field with a 11-0 win over Unicoi.

It was all Lauren Brickey, who recorded a two run homer in the top of the first, before busting a grand slam to put the Lady Cyclones up 7-0 in the bottom of the fifth.

Brickey finished the evening going 3-of-4 with seven RBIs.

EHS’ Macie Herrman also went 3-of-4, while recording three runs.

Kellie Cunningham pitched six innings for the Lady Cyclones, during which she stuck out seven batters against two walks. Cunningham finished the game with five hits against her.

The Lady Cyclones will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel over to Happy Valley.
