Bulldogs pick up two over Highlanders

Tuesday, the Hampton Bulldogs made the trip to Roan Mountain where they picked up their second-straight win over the Highlanders.
The ‘Dogs topped Cloudland 15-1 Tuesday, after besting the Highlanders 21-7 on Monday at the Doghouse.
Monday, Nash Eyrasa worked the hill for the whole game, during which he struck out nine batters over the course of five innings. From the plate, Jerry Lunsford went 3-of-3, while Jacob Byrd went 4-of-4.
Tuesday, Lunsford opened up things on the mound. Over the course of two innings, Lunsford gave one hit, while striking out one. Hampton’s Gavin Hardin took over for Lunsford in the third and pitched the remainder of the contest. Hardin finished with four strike outs and no hits against him.
At the plate Tuesday, Lunsford went 2-of-3 with two doubles, while Jacob Byrd and Harding both went 2-of-3.
The Bulldogs will head to South Greene on Monday.
