Tuesday, Happy Valley’s heavy hitter, Ryne Baines, was about as effective at the plate as one can get.
Baines, during the Warriors 11-2 road win over West Greene, went 2-of-2. Both hits resulted in home runs that netted the slugger five RBIs. However, Baines was not the only one who was slinging a heavy bat.
Happy Valley’s Taylor Hurley swung 3-of-4, while knocking in three RBIs. Both Bailey Conley and Ian Scruggs added doubles during the contest.
The Warriors, who are now 5-2 on the season, were led from the plate by Tyler Stansberry, who slung for five innings of a rain-shortended game. Stansberry had five hits against him, while handing out two strike outs against four walks.
The “Road” Warriors will be back on the trail again as they travel over to Unaka this evening.
