The Roan Mountain State Park Summer Concert Series continues this weekend.
Musicians will take the state at the Park Amphitheater both tonight and tomorrow night.
Local group HawkBaby will perform tonight. The musicians will rock Roan Mountain with their hard-driving sounds and youthful intensity.
Saturday evening’s performance will be like a step back in time as musician Art Lang takes the stage. The traditional old-time music played by Lang on fiddle, banjo and guitar will provide the soundtrack for an evening of mountain memories.
All performances will be from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Park Amphitheater. In the event of bad weather, the concerts and other performances will be relocated from the amphitheater to Picnic Shelter 3, which is located next to the park campground.
